    Needs Re-Design and better Finish

Posted by Gary Ross on Feb 15th 2020

Initially I liked the device. I loaded great but that was in my living room. On the range with hot brass flying over and using it, I noted three times I pushed on it wrong and the magazine follower cocked and froze. Finally got it to work if I inserted first round with my thumb. Also everyone recognized it was made in a 3D printer. These need to be made to work with the S&W Shield as advertised and cleaned of the rough 3D printing markings.

Does its job; fair price for a basic tool

Kind of a "universal fit" item for single stack 9MM, which is fine. There's a fair amount of slack around the edge of the magzeines, so i syuspect this is made to fit a wide range of 9mm/40 cal/other magazines. Works for both my S&W Shield and S&W Model 39 magazines. It's not a tight fit to the magazines, but that really doesn't affect the functionality. It does save wear and tear on the fingers, which is the whole point of using it. This is much appreciated during target practice when loading gets hard on the fingers.

    Great help with loading!

Excellent loader and easy to use. I struggle loading some of the magazines of the range's loaner pistols. Loading is now a breeze. There are several YouTube videos to get you familiar. Worth the purchase and cheaper on Amazon.

    Perfect!

It was exactly what I needed. I do not have the hand strength to load my S&W M&P Shield 9MM and this was perfect. Very quick and easy and I could do it myself without asking my DH to do it for me! Love it!

Works fine, see review for important details

Mine came with NO instructions and if you are new ( I was ) to loaders you can easily make a mistake that will require you to take apart the magazine to correct. I found it best to and load the first cartridge. The loader "rocks" or "tips" front to back, so when you are pushing down on cartridge it is important that the loader is tipped to the front (bullet end). Then when you get the cartridge depressed and there is room for the next cartridge you put it in and push it back so that the magazine partially catches it. Then you tip back the loader and lift it up to slide the new cartridge in place. THIS IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE IF YOU HAVE THE LOADER TIPPED BACK TOWARD THE BACK END (PRIMER END) AND YOU PUSH DOWN YOU CAN ACCIDENTALLY ROTATE THE FOLLOWER (PLASTIC PART THE FIRST BULLET SITS ON) INTO THE MAGAZINE, AND YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE APART THE MAGAZINE TO CORRECT IT. However having said all that, when used properly this is a very cheap easy way to make the loading easier.

It saved a LOT of fatigue and pain (the Shield magazine is really a pain to load the bullets, mainly the last ones)
